He's surprised at her, only because she seems to be rambling at first. He has never seen her be this nervous before. Nor has he ever heard her ramble on as much as she did there.
He was almost as lost at what she was talking about when she started, but quickly caught on when he took away the nervous ramble. It was the last part that meant the most to him, anyway.
"This isn't a movie with Bill Murray, unfortunately." he says softly, his hands crossed in front of his chest.
"I just want to know if you know why I'm so upset with what you asked me. Do you honestly understand?"
