Of Tammy's and Toys
22 Jun 2008 10:37 amUntil this morning, I was not aware that YouTube videos sometimes contained LJ Toys. In the past, I've uploaded a few videos here and there without even knowing how to check for toys. I've even uploaded some videos, but never embedded anything that would track any IPs. That being said, I do have one toy that plots locations (see sidebar), but it DOES NOT reveal individual IP addresses, only the location and time that someone clicked onto Quinn's (and Meg's) LJ. The only time I ever see IPs is on anonymous comments.
I'm a pretty open mun. I don't care that people know where I am or which muses are mine. It isn't much of an easter egg hunt to figure out who I am. Still, I do respect other muns who prefer to remain anonymous. From now on, I will post video links instead of embedding the full video. This is partly to cut down on the "toy" issue and it's also to save flists.
Now, all of this came about due to (yet another) Tammy kerfluffle. I'm not saying they were bugged on purpose. I couldn't tell they were bugged at all, but I'm also not the most tech-savvy of people, either. Granted, I try and give folks the benefit of the doubt, but it just seems a bit hinky to me that apparently all six vids (all from different makers) had been bugged. This is all second-hand knowledge, of course. I'm not saying it was intentional and I'm not all sure it wasn't. It's just strange that every go-round seems to have some kind of wank.

The Tammys were going to be presented in Rome? Of all the places they could've picked! Province? Beautiful. Venice? She'd been there before, for Arthur's sake. But Rome? The very heart of the Empire she hated? Six months ago, she would've said "no way in hell!" But now... She'd already bought the dress, and had made plans to go with Adam. She had to admit, albeit very grudgingly, that the few conversations she'd had with Marius, Mark & Lance had her reforming her opinions of Romans in general. She still wasn't much for the chickenshit Cæsars, like Nero, who never took to the front lines with the troops they condemned to die.
Pride stiffened her spine. Oh, she'd go to Rome alright, and dance on Nero's grave while she was there.

Since I'd been nominated for Most Tragic, I wanted to look as un-tragic as possible, although I was still debating on whether or not that was an honour. Yes, the dress was daring, but that's what I wanted. I wanted to challenge people's preconceived notions about me. I wasn't always a bitter, snarky, hard-ass. I could cut loose and have fun just as much as the next girl, and this was the perfect opportunity to prove it.

You claim to believe in the Old Ways that hold that Motherhood is sacred, and yet you requestmsellemeg be smote/smited who is with child. I am shocked... livid... appalled at your behaviour. There is more to my headmate's situation than you realize. In Marguerite's time, single motherhood was considered only slightly better than being a whore, and she as well as the child will be treated accordingly by society. Her main concern is not herself. She is more concerned about her child, and of course, Erik. They have a history you know nothing about.
It isn't as though she is facing an easy future, either. Bearing a child in an age before modern medicine is risky at best. There is always a very real chance neither she nor the child might survive. In addition to that fear is the one that she may never see Erik again, who is the only man she has ever loved. On top of that you want to smite her as well! Isn't she going through enough without you adding to an already broken heart? And I'm the one up for "Most Tragic!"
Had I known the true scope of your nature, I would certainly have nominated you for "Favorite Villain."

Whoever nominated myself andneidr_melltith in the category of Couple you NEVER want to see sex it up, I would have to whole-heartedly agree. Anyone who knows my history knows my disdain for all things Roman. That, in itself, is reason enough to never bother with meeting the man, much less having any sort of romantic entanglements.
That being said, I'm more than interested to know, who would you want to see me in bed with?
