theatrical_muse 234: Utopia
13 Jun 2008 11:40 pmThe Game has ceased to exist and Immortals go after one another's heads. A council of five holds jurisdiction over the actions of all Immortals. The laws are simple: 1) Though shalt not kill, 2) Abide by any and all mortal laws, and 3) Keep all knowledge of Immortals a secret. There is only one sentence should any of those laws be broken: death by beheading.
The Council is made up of both men and women, younglings and old. They are the judges, jury and executioners of Immortal laws. Each is elected from various corners of the world, and all are expected to serve a term of a century. They are the ones who settle disputes and hand down rulings. Anyone who does not agree to the ruling is transported to an unfamiliar part of the globe, chosen by the Council. There they must either a) cope without food, water or other necessities and find their way back to civilization or b) find a way to cope with the culture they've been dropped into, no identification, no money, nothing but the clothes on their backs. Maybe by the time they've reached the comforts of home, they'll have rethought going against the Council again.
It goes without saying that such a thing will ever exist, after all "Utopia" is a fictional land.
