1) Being Immortal isn't all it's cracked up to be.
2) We can't have children.
3) We can't grow old.
4) We have to kill our challengers. It's either us or them. There can be only one.
5) Watching my mortal friends grow old and die never gets easier with time. It only gets worse.
6) Wars never have a clear winner, only the living and the dead. Many of the dead should be alive, and many of the living long for death.
7) There is no real way to explain where we came from, or what we are.
8) Quickenings are hell.
9) We aren't perfect. We all make mistakes, some larger than others.
10) We can, and do, still love. Immortality just makes it harder to find someone who can love us in return.
