In hopes of bringing Quinn out of hiding, I thought maybe a "Request a Drabble" was in order.
How It Works:
Comment with your muse's name, a word and a rating (G, PG, R, etc). [Ex: Meg, ballet, G]
I will write a drabble/ficlet involving your muse & Quinn.
If you're up to it, post this in your muse's LJ so you can return the favor.

Date: 7 Feb 2008 01:53 am (UTC)"Th'hell am I supposed t'get that's red?" she asked herself as she opened the door to an odds-and-ends shop in Thurso.
Quinn looked through the shelves and racks for something appropriate. A red tin of chocolates? Too cliché. A red lava lamp? Maybe, but no. Red silk boxers? She didn't know the man that well. She pushed her way past over-full bins and shelves lined with ceramic bric-a-brac towards the back of the store. Along one wall was a rack of rather fashionable vintage clothing. Not expecting to find anything, Quinn nonetheless went through the hangers.
"Now, there's a find!" she exclaimed, pulling a deep burgundy velvet suit jacket out from behind a rather hideous puce slicker.
She held it up, inspecting the fabric for any wear and tear. It was handsomely made by a master tailor, that much she knew. It took patience and skill to work with such fine velvet. She only hoped it would fit The Doctor's wiry frame. Folding the jacket carefully over her arm, Quinn impulsively picked up the lava lamp as well. He seemed the right sort to appreciate it. With her finds in tow, Quinn returned home to do a bit of wrapping.

Date: 10 Feb 2008 08:06 pm (UTC)I glared at the other Immortal from across the chess board. My queen was in danger and I only had two knights and a bishop left.
"No, but I had been under the impression this was supposed to be a friendly chess match," I replied.
It had been anything but, but I guessed that's what happened when you put two very competitive Immortals together who hated to lose at anything. The clock over the mantle chimed three times. I rubbed my face, hoping that when I opened my eyes, I could see some way out of the losing situation I was in.
"Face it, Freyja, you're going to lose in three moves. Being stubborn about it won't change that," he said. "We could leave this until morning, come back with a fresh mind, and you'd still lose."
I continued to glare at Methos. Sure, it was stupid, stubborn pride that wouldn't let me quit. That was what had kept me alive all those years, a stubborn refusal to roll over and let someone take my head. I stared at the board's black and white squares until the pieces blurred. When my vision cleared, I saw an opening, one that Methos apparently hadn't seen. I quickly moved a knight two squares over and one up before sitting back in my chair with a small smirk of triumph.
Methos studied the board for long moments, his chin resting on steepled fingers. I watched his eyes flick back and forth across the board, looking for an out, but there wasn't one. He finally let out a bark of laughter.
"I'll be damned," he chuckled. "Checkmate."
It had been hard, but not impossible, to finally beat Methos at chess. I grinned.
