Morning!Quinn Part 2
{Previously}
Quinn could hear the lesson behind the words, and it wasn't lost on her. Sometimes she laid in bed at night wondering if Wade was alright, if Scotty had gotten a scholarship to CU like he'd wanted, if Erin and her beau were still together, whether it was worse leaving or being left...
"Thing is, I can't undo the past," she sighed. "But at least Immortality gives me a chance to set it right."
She might've been talking about Wade, or Adam, or something else entirely.

She was still chuckling to herself, and remembering the Irish Car Bombs (http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink7774.html) Gav had her drinking at Murph's party, when they walked up the drive to the brewery.

She watched as Brutæ wandered off to find himself a nice, unobtrusive spot in the shade.
"So, which is it? A tour or go straight to it?"

"I meant would you rather forgo the tour or go right for the taps."

He might be talking about more than taps...but, "It was a long walk and I'm parched."

"A mile? That was nothing. I usually run three to five every morning."

Not that she could blame him. She'd gotten about to the same point herself. She had access to enough funds to probably bankroll Monaco for the next decade, a house she loved, and friends like Gav & Murph. Aside from the few bouts of the "why-not-me"s she'd had over the past couple of weeks, she really wasn't wanting for anything.

"The truth is that I'm comfortable right now. It wasn't like in the old days. I was smart back then. I'm most likely richer than whatever God you could throw at me. I don't HAVE to walk miles in the desert anymore. I can do anything that I want."
He looks at the selection, "What are you having?"

She looked at the different bottles, and one label sporting a Viking longboat caught her eye.
"I think I'll give that one a go," she replied with a smile.

"I think I'll have the Raven Ale."

"Anything you feel like drinking to?"

Of course Burns' reputation wasn't nearly as extensive as Byron's, but he'd still had a way with the ladies. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she took a sip of the pint.
It wasn't quite what she was expecting. True that it was rich and full, but there was also a hint of...
"Fuck me!" she exclaimed, surprised. "S'got chocolate in it!"

Quinn wasn't sure whether to be glad he'd let the comment go, or vaguely disappointed he hadn't said something cheeky in return. Maybe he didn't feel that way towards her after all. Maybe that was a good thing. She didn't need her life to be complicated. Did she?

Of course, that's said with a teasing smirk.

"Well, there's a difference between dancing on a grave and skinny-dipping in a neighbour's lake."
