Letters to a Headmate & Her Man

{OOC: This was actually inspired by the "letters to mun" & "letters to muse" prompts @
realmofthemuse. Quinn just decided to take it a bit farther.}

Dear Meg,
I know you don’t have emails and such in your time, so I’m forced to actually write a by-gods letter. Can I just stop for a moment to tell you how annoying this is? Right, well, you get the point.
Anyway, I know you were in our mun’s head before I was and fair’s fair, but dammit woman, could you at least move to another corner of her brain when you’re in a mood? I know you’re stuck on that Erik chap to no end, but I’d rather not hear it. Not when I’m dealing with so damn much other drama in Immieverse. Two of my friends were murdered, not to mention my daughter, on holy ground, no less. So, I’m a bit tweaked at the moment and here you are getting all fluffy and cuddly and shite. It’s irritating as bloody hell!
God love ye, really, but get a room, will ye?
Your Headmate,
Quinn

Dear Erik,
I know you don’t know me for shite, but being Meg’s headmate, I haveta speak up, if only for my own sanity.
About Meg, just fucking marry the chit, would ye? Ye already know she loves ye t’no end. She’s already said she’s yers, just make it permanent, have a nice wedding night and have all the jollies that go with it and get it outta her system. It’s just a shame cold showers don’t work on us women or else I’da drowned her by now.
A Fellow Muse,
Quinnleigh Kincaid

Date: 17 Dec 2007 12:59 am (UTC)This is an entirely private matter and I do not appreciate your candour. It is not for you to decide what I should or should not do and as you so eloquently put I, you do not know me. There are issues here that you do not and could not understand concerning the prospect of marriage or even a relationship with one Mademoiselle Giry. As such, I kindly ask that you keep all further comments and advice to yourself.
Most sincerely,
O.G.

Date: 17 Dec 2007 03:49 pm (UTC)It's a good thing Meg warned me that you could be rather grouchy on occasion. Otherwise, I might be rather offended by the tone of your note. As it stands, I will simply chalk it up to your having too many meddlesome women in your life: first Meg, then her mother and now myself.
As for your objections to matrimony, I have seen many a marriage formed not out of love or attraction, but out of simple necessity. Sometimes to prevent wars, sometimes to form alliances, and sometimes for money. In short, marriage doesn't necessarily equate love, but perhaps a mutual respect.
I hope you reconsider.
Quinn
